Owning a Network Marketing business is a great way to build leverage.  However things can be a little shaky if you are not self driven and are easily influenced by other people either within your organization or in other teams within your company.

Today’s blog post I want to talk about what to do when your sponsor or upline leader quits the business or even jumps ships.  This is a reality that a lot of people in Network Marketing industry deal with a lot.

I have personally experienced this first hand where my sponsor went MIA for months and did not even bother to tell the team.  So, I can share how I personally dealt with it and hopefully if you currently have an upline or sponsor that have left the business you know how to deal with it.

For those of you that have never had this happen, you also want to read this entire post because you just never know.  Your million dollar upline leader could leave the company any time and you need to build your own strong and secure foundation.

Now, there are many reasons why Network Marketing leaders leave their company.  I think in most cases, the problem is not leaving, it is how they leave.  It is the noise and rumors that follow their exit.  The noise and rumors sometimes could be started by the same leaders in effort to grab followers from the company they are leaving behind.

Rumors and lots of internet noises could also be started by those left behind.  Sometimes a leader can quietly and professionally part ways with the company to pursue something else or join another company.

Those left behind sometimes feel a sense of betrayal and because of their control and bitterness about losing a strong leader in their organization they start badmouthing that leader and telling all sorts of stories.  Most people don’t understand that just like a job, people have the right to leave a company and join another.

Sometimes people can’t stick with one company just like there are people who cannot keep a job for more than two years.  I know two top earners who have changed companies about 8 times in just the last 5 years.  Maybe they do it because of some type of emotional patterns or they simply believe the grass is always greener somewhere else.

So, What Do You Do When Your Upline Or Top Leader In Your MLM Company Quit Or Jump Ship

First and foremost you have to be well grounded where you are.  If you find out that your sponsor or upline have left the business for another company or something else, the first thing you want to do is not find it why and what the rumors are.  First thing is to remember your reason why.

Remember WHY you started and do not give up.  Instead find a way to make it.  Instead of feeling down and allowing others decision to quit affect your business focus on those who did not quit.

If you have to, find yourself a business mentor or business success coach. Make a decision to do whatever it takes to be successful.  This could be someone in your company or even outside of the company.  Actually this is always a good thing to do even if your Upline is around and active in the business.

The most important thing is to know the facts about your company, compensation plan, products or services and the quality of your company’s leadership.  If those things are in good standing, then you have no reason to hop from one company to another just because your leader  or a top leader within your company left.

You don’t change jobs when your boss quit or move on to another company do you?  Why then do you think something is wrong with your company because one or two people left?

Why not focus on the hundreds of top leaders are still with your company? I personally just learned how to look at the glass half full and not half empty and I am not going to blindly follow someone or give up on my business because someone else did.

In conclusion, if your upline or a top leader in your company decide jump ship, evaluate you first before making any hasty conclusion.  If you have mastered your business, you will stand your ground. If you don’t stand for something you will find yourself falling for anything.

Make sure your business vision is crystal clear.  What is your goal for the next 3 months, six months and 12 months?  Are you willing to do what it takes to build a successful business?   Make an intent decision to blossom where you are planted right now and don’t be swayed to go with the flow.

You  are powerful beyond measure.  No one person can stop you unless you allow them to.  That stuff you have inside of you is called potential.  You just have to awaken the sleeping giant and keep the main thing the main thing.  Your destiny is not tied up with someone who left. When God say it’s time to move on you will know!
